UKASThe United Kingdom Accreditation Service is the sole national accreditation body recognised by government to assess, against internationally agreed standards, organisations that provide certification, testing, inspection and calibration services.
CHASCHAS is a health and safety accreditation scheme for the construction industry, and acts as a type of pre-qualification during the tender process. For large public procurements such as for councils, schools and other public sector bodies, CHAS is a prerequisite for tenders.
