3XS, a leader in high-performance custom-built PCs, is seeking an experienced Head of Production to oversee and lead our production teams, ensuring we maintain our high standards of quality and efficiency. This role is critical in managing production capacity, optimizing processes, and delivering against our ambitious production targets in a fast-paced, diverse environment.

Key Responsibilities

Leadership and Management of Production Teams:

  • Lead and manage multiple production teams, ensuring smooth operations, effective collaboration, and meeting production schedules.
  • Foster a culture of excellence, motivating teams to consistently achieve high levels of performance and quality.

Production Capacity Forecasting:

  • Develop and manage production capacity plans, working closely with sales and logistics to align capacity with demand.
  • Ensure that production plans are scalable to accommodate seasonal changes and spikes in demand.

Maintaining High Production Standards:

  • Ensure that all PCs built meet the rigorous 3XS standards for performance, quality, and customer satisfaction.
  • Implement continuous quality control measures across all stages of production, addressing any issues promptly to maintain product integrity.

Continuous Improvement and Efficiency Optimization:

  • Identify and implement process improvements to increase production efficiency, reduce lead times, and optimize resource allocation.
  • Drive lean manufacturing principles to minimize waste and improve overall production workflows.

Reporting and Communication:

  • Provide regular reports to the Director of 3XS on production performance, capacity utilization, and quality metrics.
  • Communicate key updates, challenges, and opportunities to senior leadership, offering solutions to production issues.

Managing High-Volume Production:

  • Oversee the production of 4,000 custom-built PCs per month, ensuring high throughput in a fast-paced environment without compromising quality.
  • Adapt quickly to changing customer requirements and ensure flexibility within the production teams to meet demand shifts.

Team Leadership and Development:

  • Lead efforts to develop and train the production teams, ensuring skill development and cross-training to handle workload peaks.
  • Conduct performance reviews, set goals for team members, and create development plans to ensure continued improvement.

Health and Safety Compliance:

  • Ensure that all production activities adhere to health and safety regulations, promoting a safe and compliant working environment for all staff.

Qualifications

  • Proven leadership experience managing production in a high-volume, fast-paced manufacturing or assembly environment.
  • Strong ability to lead, organise, and scale production teams to meet high-output demands.
  • Expertise in capacity forecasting, production planning, and managing quality control processes.
  • Familiarity with high-performance computing or technology products is a plus.
  • Strong problem-solving and continuous improvement mindset, with a track record of driving process efficiencies.
  • Excellent communication skills, with experience reporting to senior management and collaborating across departments.
