Web Designer

Scan, a multi-award winning family owned business have a fantastic opportunity for an in-house Web Designer to join our team. We are looking for a team player who is passionate about web marketing design. The role is suitable for someone who enjoys working in a fast paced, collaborative environment that can appreciate criticism to produce the best work possible whilst having a positive, can-do attitude to get things done.

The role:

• Develop creative solutions for marketing initiatives including banner ads, landing pages, social media ads, and user interfaces
• Create dynamic responsive email newsletters; analyse data and propose solutions for further improving engagement and revenue
• Creation and deployment of trigger marketing campaigns and customer journeys to enhance conversion and retention
• Contribute to projects in partnership with designers, copywriters, web developers, and marketing specialists
• Collaborate with internal and external brand ‘vendors’ to create best design solutions
• Participate openly and enthusiastically in brainstorming sessions and other planning activities
• Provide original thoughts and vision to design concepts and creative strategies; willingly offer and accept creative critique of designs and implement best ideas
• Along with design talent, must be able to multi-task and demonstrate excellent planning, organizational, time-management, and project-management skills
• Make sure that deadlines are met in due time, ensuring that quality is nothing short of the best
• Create and maintain files for all creative assets and resources, such as software, art materials, and special fonts, which are needed for record keeping and referencing
• Liaise with other members of the marketing / web/ Ecomm / creative teams to maximise creativity and excellence in performance and delivery
• Work closely with the marketing and creative team on project execution
• Work to and with front end developer code standards for the business

The Candidate

For this role. you would ideally have the following skills:

• The ideal candidate will have a minimum of 12 months web-based design experience in a fast-paced corporate, e-commerce, creative, or agency production environment
• Strong design aesthetic, creativity, and the ability to produce brand-specific web graphic components under tight deadlines in a high-volume production environment
• A collaborative mindset that enables cross-functional interaction on a range of web, product, or marketing initiatives
• Good knowledge of Adobe Creative Suite a plus; experience with HTML, CSS and JavaScript, Adobe Dreamweaver
• Knowledge of marketing email design and development, standards, and best practices a plus
• Experience in setting up and running email marketing campaigns
• Familiarity with current standards and best practices within the web design and production field
• Motivation and the desire to execute every job to the highest standard
• The ability to deliver concepts, creatives and campaigns that generate results
• Ability to absorb and apply constructive criticism
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
• Flexibility with time as you may be required to work overtime due to deadlines
