Rated 5 out of 5 by from great chip the cpu is brilliant ,now i love to tweak and this was a great fun doing so ,i am running a clc280 from evga and my temps are 27c idle and 48c on boost on general useage now 48 is the hottest ie youtube ,power dvd 20 and web browsing etc ,which i am happy with now in gaming with everything on full @ 1440p 144mhz i hit around on boost (pbo) max 61c ,thats on games like division 2 anno1800,snow runner,tommb raider etc but on average with games it usually run high 50s thats ok for me some people may get better but i am happy i am sitting about 3787mhz on idle and on boost hitting 4820-4740 and that on 4 of cores the rest is at 4616 and 4416 which is really ok for me that all 12 cores and only hitting max 61 c with extreme fan curve i am happy but yes tweaked a bit the v core soc voltage helped me alot (gigabyte aurous elite board)with rgb 3600 mhz 32 gb memory and i have now left it has it is , i did few bench marks on the cpu i manage to get all cores stable at 4.5 at 64 c which for me is fine but i did put it back to were it is for every day usage and its fast snappy and love it (i have just gone to red side first time since 90s i have always been blue but after the big price match from blue i felt ripped off that they could cut there prices in half to match ryzen 3 series so i gave ryzen a chance and very happy to ) one more thing i set my fan curve in bios and did away with flowcontrol from evga is rubbish but yoiu got to make sure you set you pump header different to all other headers i put my pump on to cpu fan header not opt reason why, opt on full went to 1900rpm but on fan header tit went to its max 2880rpm but i did drop it slightly to 2700rpm on pump you can on gigabyte set individual headers to run has you like so i used sytem fan and opt for the 2 fans on evga and set them both with a fan curve and cpu fan header on full hope . the reason why i did this was the evga software lets you control between 20 - 60 and its so annoying fans constantly changing speed when it does hit 60 it then puts all fans on 100percent for split second ,hope it helps you,most people probably all ready no this but its info to take has you like all i can say its working great for me just my opinion
