NVIDIA Omniverse Enterprise
Omniverse Enterprise for Supercomputing
Visualisation is the best way to analyse large scientific datasets - most often generated from simulations using powerful GPU-accelerated server platforms and in a growing number of cases, AI trained models. However, the explosion of the size
of these simulation results requires modern visualisation tools that provide high interactivity, photorealistic visuals, and real time collaboration with team members.
NVIDIA Omniverse Enterprise brings team members on the same virtual platform to collaborate in real time and gather insights faster.
Designed for the Supercomputing Industry
The very nature of supercomputing necessitates the use of high-end multi-GPU systems, as the datasets are often vast and complex where technologies like machine learning and deep learning are employed to speed up analysis and provide enhanced levels
of insight. The hardware enables many iterations of data and results that need to be effectively visualised to understand them.
Omniverse Enterprise increases productivity by enabling geographically dispersed researchers to visualise, analyse, and modify the same data and collaborate in real time. It processes data from scientific simulations, GIS and USD format,
allowing users to bring their data in the same workspace and Kitware ParaView users can convert and upload their data on to the Omniverse Enterprise platform and take advantage of the rich ecosystem of visualisation apps. Scientific data is a
combination of 2D attributes such as streamlines and 3D volumetric structures. Omniverse allows users to interactively visualise multiple geometries in the same scene so they can see the full picture, intuitively navigate through the data, and
gather key insights.
Supercomputing use cases for Omniverse Enterprise
Improved Weather Prediction
With RTX Renderer, simulation, and GPU acceleration technologies, climate researchers are trying to get one step closer to understanding the complexity of unpredictable storm systems with collaborative, interactive scientific workflows
Long Term Climate Visualisation
Climate simulations produce large amounts of inherently 3D data, and yet the analysis is often limited to 2D projections. Omniverse Enterprise enables the fusion of large-scale scientific data with cinematic rendering capabilities, allowing for interactive exploration of complex climate phenomena.
Astronomical Research
Huge datasets are retrieved from satellites, probes and radio telescopes analysing everything from galactic winds, solar energy and black holes. Volumetric visualisation tools highlight subtle attributes of the data, view cross-sections across the entire time series, and leverage features like ambient occlusion and shadows to examine key components of the data.
