What is DPD pin delivery?

DPD PIN delivery is a contactless and secure way to receive parcels using a 4-digit PIN code

• Upon delivery the driver will ask for your unique PIN. Once the correct 4 digit PIN is provided to the driver, this will be entered it into their handheld device releasing the parcels to you.

• The PIN delivery service ensures a more secure delivery of your parcel. The PIN acts as a personal identification number and your parcel cannot be delivered without your unique PIN being provided to the driver. The parcel cannot be left safe or delivered to a neighbour. You can arrange for an alternative delivery date by contacting SCAN or via your DPD app.

• SCAN are unable to provide you with your PIN directly. In the event you do not have the PIN to hand, the parcel will be returned to your local DPD depot and delivery will be attempted the following working day.

• If you are unavailable on the scheduled delivery date, DPD should leave a calling card and take the parcel back to your local depot. The delivery should then be automatically re-attempted the next working day. If delivery still can’t be made, your parcel will be held until you contact DPD to rearrange delivery.

• If delivery is not successfully made on the first two attempts the parcel will be automatically returned to Scan where a re-delivery may be chargeable.
