Ark: Survival EvolvedArk: Survival Evolved, keyword Evolved. As a concept, it’s quite like Minecraft. Awaken in an unfamiliar and hostile environment, gather resources and defend yourself against the dangers of the island. But once again, the keyword here is evolved. It’s got the same fundamentals as the blocky open world, but filled with hordes of deadly dinosaurs, all ready to strike the moment you step within aggro range. Your first night, well, more like your first few spawns, are going to be tough until you learn the ins and outs of the game. Trust me though, it’s worth it, Ark is a ton of fun and can be tough to put down. |

The Power of Big Game Hunter in HearthstoneWith the release of The Grand Tournament, a lot of focus was placed by Blizzard to slow down the pace of the game. As the game has continued to grow, with hundreds of new cards to experiment with each year, a lot of cards and combos don’t see play because they take too long to develop. This is why The Grant Tournament had a focus with mechanics like ‘joust’ which aimed to reward slower paced decks by providing crucial heals and taunts to decent sized minions. A lot of decks which focus on the use of dragons, another slower paced deck, also received substantial buffs by providing the decks a ton of options for early game taunts which sought to control the aggro game. |

Rocket League - Getting StartedCongratulations, you’ve just purchased Rocket League, which I highly recommend if you haven’t already. This high octane little gem has already claimed many hours of my own time, and soon you’ll see why. It’s as accessible as Hearthstone, the games last barely longer than five minutes, and it can be quite exciting. Hearthstone - ArchetypesDebuting in August 2015, The Grand Tournament added new keywords to Hearthstone for the first time since the release of the base game. Inspire and jousting show that Blizzard is willing to utilize its position as the only online cardgame to add unique mechanics that would only work online, and to further capitalize on their already unique mechanics of classes and Hero Powers. While this is great, the cards released are rather telling that Blizzard is still attempting to force certain archetypes such as Control Hunter, Beast Druid, and now possibly Inspire Mage. |

Cards like Tinkertown Technician are finding their way into any deck using the mech type simply because of how powerful the card is under the right circumstances. Controlling the Flow of Doubloons on Blackheart’s BayHeroes of the Storm has a focus on objectives that is fairly unique in the MOBA genre.
