What is an NVIDIA EGX or HGX Server?
Powered by high performance NVIDIA professional GPU accelerators, an EGX or HGX server built by 3XS Systems offers the ultimate in reference hardware architectures for advanced visualisation, HPC, vGPU, big data analytics and AI training workloads.
EGX or HGX?
Choosing a server system that best meets the requirements of your AI training workflow is key and Scan offer two variants - EGX and HGX. An EGX server refers to an NVIDIA approved high performance server build using NVIDIA PCIe professional GPU cards, whereas an HGX build refers to a similar server but using NVIDIA SXM4 professional GPU modules instead. EGX builds offer great flexibility, where HGX builds provide the utmost GPU performance.
What is Raytracing?
Rendering applications that support the latest ray tracing look simply stunning. Ray tracing simulates how light beams and shadows actually work, providing far more rich and realistic graphics. Cloud GPU
The NVIDIA GPU Cloud (NGC) provides researchers and data scientists with simple access to a comprehensive catalogue of GPU-optimised software tools for deep learning and high performance computing (HPC) that take full advantage of NVIDIA GPUs. The NGC container registry features NVIDIA tuned, tested, certified, and maintained containers for the top deep learning frameworks. It also offers third-party managed HPC application containers, NVIDIA HPC visualisation containers, and partner applications.
NVIDIA Networking Connectivity
NVIDIA EGX and HGX servers need lightning fast connectivity to match their stellar compute performance. This is delivered by utilising NVIDIA Networking network cards delivering blistering speeds of up to 800Gb/s either using either Infiniband or Ethernet connectivity. Low latency is ensured too, by employing off-loading technology that moves workload away form the CPU and onto the NIC to improve performance and throughput. NVIDIA Bluefield DPUs (data processing units) are also available for the most demanding software defined environments.
